Learn Python With AsyncIO + Music by Lukasz Langa (PyCon 2020) Video

We just learned from the previous PyCon 2020 videos that you can use Python to teach computers how to write poetry with style so it is not really surprising to see many other interesting usages of this programming language. In this video presented by Lukasz Langa, we will discover how Python can help musicians to play musical instruments! Yes, you read that right! Python can also be used to generate music!

In this particular project, we will be introduced to ayncio, a library to write concurrent code using the async/await syntax. Here, you will see how AsyncIO can be used to aid music production and real-time performance through MIDI processing. To make it more interesting, Lukasz will walk us through a step by step process from scratch so you can follow the entire procedure, watch the project in action, and apply it on your own. To learn more about this interesting project with Python, feel free to watch the video below. Have fun!
