For smaller projects or applications, it is possible that it could be singlehandedly manage by a programmer or it could be a small team of 2 or three people. However, for bigger ones, it might need a bigger team which might also require a bigger workplace. In this case, to make the project more successful, there must be teamwork and a healthy working environment should be established to improve the company’s overall productivity.

Interestingly, in this video shared by Shauna Gordon-McKeon from the recently concluded PyCon 2020, she will walk us through the process of organizing and improving a workplace. This talk will help us better understand our rights with a special focus on issues that commonly arise in the tech industry, such as workplace harassment, overuse of non-disclosure agreements and forced arbitration clauses, and misclassification of contractors. It will also highlight the things you can possibly do when your company does something unethical, following the “Bargaining for the Common Good” model used by workers around the country to fight poverty, systemic racism, and climate change.
